Hey, guys, this article is huge for a local guy to get this kind of coverage in the racing world. All the big well know sanctioning body's like NASCAR have turned to virtual racecars through iracing and have been televising the events. Top drivers have expressed how hard this virtual racing is. The drivers go on to talk about the level of concentration it takes to compete and just how real it feels.
To put this a little better into perspective it's the equivalent of a high school athlete competing against professionals in his/her respective sport where the pro has the advantage based on his level of knowledge and experience. The most significant difference being that iracing is built specifically to handle, feel and react to adjustments just like a real race car. Other sports games, for the most part only react to a preset setting of players and teams, which takes out a lot of the real skill level.
To further put this is into perspective, iracing is really no different than a flight simulator built around racing.
All types of pilots are at some point trained on a simulator. So just remember the next time you think about saying iracing is just a game, remember, the pilot of your next flight was trained on "just a game".
P.S. Do me a favor and share the post. Not my post, but the original post. Maybe just, maybe the right person will see it and believe in the iracing talent and further the dream of Kaeden Cornell Racing.
