It’s race day and it’s shaping up to be a beautiful day!!
There’s a lot happening tonight at Electric City Speedway presented by Family Center Farm and Home! Family Center Farm and Home night at the races is tonight! I’m not sure what the folks from Family Center have planned, but it’s always great to have them in the house and they always come up with something awesome for the fans!
Tonight is the 6th annual Mike Clark Memorial! Midwest mods are competing tonight for a $7600 purse with $1150 going to the winner and $225 just to start the race! There’s extra money spread all throughout the field as well as special awards to be given! Also the first 10 temp memberships for Midwest Mod drivers that do not have a POWRi license will be covered! The support we’ve received for this race has been truly overwhelming and we can’t thank all of you enough for all you’ve done to support this event! We are planning on running 4 heats of 8-10 laps depending on the car count, but could change depending on how many we get. We will take the top 3 from the heats. We will take the heat winners and run a 4 lap pole dash to determine the top 4 starting positions. This will be a standard heads up event without passing points. We will then take the rest of the field and line up for 2 B mains that will be 10 laps or more again depending on car count. The top 4 from each B will fill out our 20 car field for our 24 lap main event. We are extremely excited about this event and can’t wait to see who takes home the title!
Also running tonight will be the Concrete Co USRA Bmods, Jacks and Aces Events POWRi Super Stocks, A-1 Trading Hobby Stocks, BHB Creations and Co ECS Strictly Stocks, and special guest class this week will be the AAA Lawnmower Sales and Service Show Me Vintage Racers!
The SMVR are doing a program this year for the young guns. They take a couple of kids in the pits with them and allow them to help work on the cars and sometimes become junior tech officials. Our winners for that drawing are Jackson Ramsey and Jordan Christian! Once you guys get to the track let one of us know and we’ll get you to the appropriate spot for your evening of fun!
