Another addition to this weekends 2nd Annual Dirt Kart Nightmare “Presented by Missouri Metal Buildings” at PIMP – Pittsburg International Motorsports Park, is our Wheel of Misfortune.
For most of our Icon Graphics and Apparel 417 OKA races we have rolled a “dice” to set our invert for the Heat Races. Now instead of the dice roll, just like what Eldora uses at their Crown Jewel races, the 417 OKA will use the Wheel to set the invert. Big shoutout and thanks to longtime time Modified stand out across the 4- State area, Brandon Maggard with Maggard Trucking has stepped up to sponsor the wheel. 🎡The Spin:
The driver who qualifies with the highest points comes to the front stretch and spins the “Wheel of Misfortune”.
🎡The Inversion:
The wheel features multiple options (e.g., 1,2,3,4,5,6, etc.). Whatever number the wheel lands on serves as the heat race invert, meaning the fastest qualifiers are pushed back in the starting lineup to create more overtaking..

For Ex: If the Maggard Trucking Wheel of Misfortune lands on 4, it triggers a 4-car inversion for the heat races.

The Heat Race Starting Lineups, a spin of 4 alters the top spots of the heats like this: 1st Place qualifier: Moves back to start 4th in Heat 1.2nd Place qualifier: Moves back to start 3rd in Heat 2.3rd Place qualifier: Moves back to start 2nd in Heat 3.4th Place qualifier: Receives the maximum reward, moving up to start 1st (Pole Position) in Heat 4.5th Place qualifier and below: Completely unaffected. They start 5th or lower in their respective heats exactly where they earned their spots based on qualifying.
