A Great Night of Racing at Twister Alley Raceway Saturday
evening as 102 entries checked in at the gate. The night
was bitter/sweet as Tony Cope (Track Owner) developed
some medical issues prior to the night’s event which sent
him to the ER to be checked out, at last report Tony was
transferred to Springfield to have a MRI done this morning.
Please keep Tony in your thoughts/prayers as they diagnose
the issues and get him back to his ole self.
I will post information on Tony’s condition when I get it.
It was a warm afternoon/evening, but the Racing was even
HOTTER as the fastest Race of the night was the Jr2 A-main
as they scorched the Track, 15 laps in 2:44 (Caution Free
& Fast!)

Wow!!! What a night got win number three under our belt this year! There is plenty of more races to get more so we are going to keep on grinding and getting it done!! This 417 Sports Cards Charger was on point tonight. Started second row inside for our heat race and within a couple laps into, made a pass to take the lead and finished 1st. Feature time, we started on the pole, and we never looked back. Luckily we didn’t have another lap or so left or else we wouldn’t be standing in victory lane, within a couple of laps to go the car was acting crazy and starting to shake, It turns out our right front tire was almost completely gone, with wires hanging out from it! Luckily the God lord above was watching us and parked us in Victory lane at Lebanon I-44 Speedway!

We will add the super stocks on the 8th for kids night. That will be 7 classes with Supers, Bmods, Midwest Mods, Show-me vintage, pure stocks, strictly stocks and 4-cylinder. Along with the bike races and kids night activities.
Here are a few dates to be thinking about. We’ve got a couple of makeup races scheduled with classes to be announced closer to time. Sunday August 10 and Friday August 29 will be the dates for our makeup races. Again classes will be announced soon for both events.
Also coming to Electric City for their first ever appearance will be the stars and cars of the USMTS!! Thursday August 21st will be their first time at Electric City Speedway and we can’t wait! Also running with the USMTS will be the USRA Ironman Stock Cars, the USRA Bmods, and we will have an open invitation Emod vs Midwest Mod Shootout! All the information for the USMTS event is on the poster. We’re excited to have the stars and cars of the USMTS and the Ironman series in the house for an awesome night of racing!
This Saturday night, it’s the Back to School Bash at the Crawford County Speedway. The first 100 Kids get free backpacks filled with school supplies.
A Spectacular Night of HOT Racing for the Summer Sizzler
at Twister Alley Raceway as 124 entries checked in at
the gate. The pits looked like a tent city with all the
teams putting up canopies, but that’s what you had to
have to fight off the suns rays. It was Driver/Fan
Appreciation Night and Twister wanted to treat them right
with Great Racing which included 3 ‘B’ Features, $1 Hot
Dogs and a FREE Prize Raffle at intermission with better
than 60 prizes given away!!!
