Today we removed the Ozarks Area Racers Foundation monument from the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame property which is being repurposed. It was transported to Greenlawn Monument to be returned to the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds at a later date. We want to thank all the employees at Greenlawn for their hard work and careful preparation during the move, and to R&D Crane Service for getting us in their schedule.
💔We’re heartbroken to announce the passing of Mark Perry of the Ozarks Area Racers Foundation. He was a remarkable man whose warmth, good humor, and kindness touched so many lives, from all walks of life. He had a rare gift for bringing people together and leaving a lasting influence on everyone he met. His impact was truly profound, and he’ll be missed dearly by our entire racing community. Our thoughts are with the family during this incredibly difficult time. Hold them in your hearts, and hang on to your loved ones. Rest in peace, Mark 🕊🙏🏁
Visitation will be at Greenlawn North on Thursday, August 21 from 6-8. Funeral service will be Friday, August 22 at 11.
