The Ozark Area Racers Foundation Event is Fast approaching; Drivers still have time to display that new wrap and be a part of this Great Event. Several Cars & Karts from the Dirt/Pavement on display!!! Each Kart on display will get 2 Free tickets to the Event and Kids under 12 are FREE!!!!!!! Discount Tickets on Sale at your local Oreilly’s Auto Parts Stores for Friends/Fans wanting to attend. Karts can be brought to the Event to the Springfield Fairgrounds West E-plex Doors- Saturday January 31st by 10am and be on a Kart stand if all possible. Shoot me a Text or respond in the Comments if you would like to Display your Kart. Doors open at 2pm with the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at 5pm. There will be Cars, Karts, Area Track Memorabilia, Inductee Autographs, Silent Auction Items and more… One of the Silent Auction Items being a Richard Petty work shirt worn by the ”King” and Autographed! Championship Drivers from the 2025 Twister Alley Race Season will be Recognized, with 2 Twister Drivers being Awarded Ozark Area Racers Foundation College Scholarships!!!!!

August 4, 1966 — December 26, 2025
Thelma June “Tally” Shaw, age 59, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, after a courageous battle with an undiagnosed illness. Born in Springfield, Missouri on August 4, 1966, Tally was the daughter of Hazel June Westmoreland and Louis James Lovell.
On December 18, 1999, Tally married the love of her life, Thomas E. Shaw Jr., and together they built a beautiful life in Springfield, Missouri. Tally’s greatest passions were her son Thomas and her family, who meant everything to her. She also loved traveling, fulfilling her dream of seeing 48 states, with only Alaska and Hawaii remaining on her bucket list. Along her journeys, she delighted in meeting new people and formed countless friendships. Known for her generous and selfless spirit, Tally had a profound love for helping others, often putting their needs before her own.
Tally received her GED from Central High School in Springfield, Missouri, class of 1984. During high school, she met her best friend Missy Matthews, a friendship that lasted 45 years, and they worked together at the Welfare office in Springfield. Tally also worked for Mar-Lou Leathercraft for 10 years as a quality control inspector before becoming disabled.

Her parents, Hazel June Westmoreland and Louis James Lovell; sister Deloris Westmoreland; and brothers and sisters-in-law Donald Dwayne Shaw, Robert Leslie Shaw, Edward Lee Shaw, Barbara Jean Webb (Shaw), Harry LeRoy Shaw, Evelyn Louise Pugh (Shaw), Tommy Wayne Shaw, and Harold Wesley Shaw.
Survived By:
Husband: Thomas “Tombo” Shaw
Son: Thomas E. Shaw III
Siblings: Jimmy Westmoreland, John Westmoreland, and Joyce Gann
Brothers and Sisters-in-Law: Michael Eugene Shaw (Linda), Ronald Dean Shaw (Mary), Curtis James Shaw, Clinton Ryan (April), Ricky Ryan, Teresa Ryan (Mr. Bill Stennett), Carl Shaw (Denise), and Tammy Brannon (Shaw) (Jimmy)
Additionally: Tally is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and cherished friends.
Tally was a beloved wife, mother, and friend who touched the lives of all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

But this is not the last Race for the Kids, they will be Racing at the Pink Out make up Race the following Saturday. The Jr Boogeyman will be Fun for all our youth Classes, 💲added money in all classes plus 🍬Track or Treat🍭 at intermission. Driver’s, Crew and Family remember to bring Treats for the Track or Treat as the Grandstand kids will be coming through the Pits during intermission also.
